A grade of “C-” or lower is not eligible for reimbursement.

Graduate: Team members will receive 100% reimbursement up to a maximum of $5,250 (or the equivalent in local currency for international team members) per calendar year for tuition, course registration, laboratory fees or other fees related to the specific course for pre-approved courses passed with a grade of “B” or better. A grade of “B-” or lower is not eligible for reimbursement.

The exam must be passed at a level eligible to earn the industry accepted certification/designation.

How do I apply?

After completing 90 days of service, your first step will be to obtain pre-approval from your Manager and the Benefits Team before your program is expected to start. We recommend discussing with your manager live, then requesting pre-approval in Workday by following the steps outlined on the SOP (click here). Your pre-approval request will route to your Manager and then the Benefits Team for approval. You will then receive a notification from Workday with an approval decision. If approved, please move forward with taking the course or program.

Once the course of program has concluded and you have received a grade eligible for reimbursement (see above), please request the reimbursement through Workday by following the steps outlined on the SOP. This request will go to the Benefits Team to be reviewed. Once your request has been approved, you will receive a notification from Workday and the payment will be included in your next regular pay cycle.

What else should I know?

Reimbursement that has been paid by Ocean Spray Cranberries, Inc. will be subject to repayment in full if the team member terminates their employment with the company or is terminated for cause within one year from the date of payment.

Annual maximum awards run on the Calendar Year (January 1st – December 31st). Each reimbursement is counted toward the year in which it is paid out, not necessarily when the course was taken. For example, if you are enrolled in a course in the Fall semester, but you don’t receive your final grade or don’t request reimbursement before the end of year deadline (as outlined in the Tuition Reimbursement Policy), your reimbursement will not be processed for payment until the following Calendar Year. This is in compliance with IRS regulations and, unfortunately, we cannot make any exceptions.

To learn more about the process to request Tuition Reimbursement Assistance, please see the Tuition Reimbursement Policy and Tuition SOP.
