HIV Treatment and Prevention – Ocean Spray Benefits

Preventing HIV is an important step to protecting your health. Your prescription drug coverage through Express Scripts provides benefits for Pre-exposure Prophylaxis (PREP) for members who do not have a history of HIV.

Benefit Spotlight

Express Scripts will fully cover the following medication for HIV treatment and prevention:

Emtricitabine/tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (TDF) generic (200 mg/300 mg dose only)

Since this medication is classified as preventive, you do not have to pay a copay or deductible. If you are not approved for this medication, you may request a formal appeal or grievance from Express Scripts.
